OOIDA scholarship program announces selection of year 2006 OOIDA scholars.
OOIDA scholarships are available for children, grandchildren, and legal dependents of OOIDA members.
The Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association, Inc. (OOIDA) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2006 OOIDA Scholarships. The OOIDA scholarship committee performed blind evaluations of all the applications which came in from all across the country. These five scholars were selected as this year's recipients. All applicants wrote a 500 word essay titled, "1. List and discuss three positive aspects of the influence of the trucker in your life. 2. How does your choice of an educational goal utilize the strongest attributes of your personality?"

Daynon Brunk is theson of members Dean and Brenell Brunk of Brookville, Ohio. Daynon is enrolled at University of Northwestern Ohio, where he plans to major in diesel technology. Daynon was awarded a $2,000 scholarship award. |

Danyel Wynn is the daughter of member Danny Wynn of Mesa, Arizona. Danyel is enrolled at University of Arizona where she plans to major in pediatric oncology. Danyel was awarded a $1,000 scholarship award. |

Jacob Matthew Hadley is the son of member Matthew Hadley of Burns, Kansas. Jacob is enrolled at Emporia State University and plans to obtain a double major in biochemistry and molecular biology. Jacob was awarded a $1,000 scholarship award. |

Will Richard Craig is the son of member Wade L. Craig of Farnam, Nebraska. Will is enrolled at Southeast Community College in Beatrice, Nebraska and plans to major in agricultural business and administration. Will was awarded a $1,000 scholarship award. |

Ashley Elizabeth Bugbee is the daughter of member Stuart Bugbee of Bethany, Missouri. Ashley is enrolled at Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville where she plans to major in physical therapy. Ashley was awarded a $1,000 scholarship award. |

Awarded scholarships are renewable for three (3) additional years. Tax-deductible donations to the OOIDA Scholarship Program can be sent to the OOIDA Foundation, Inc., 1 NW OOIDA Drive, Grain Valley, Missouri 64029.
