It is that time of the year again for payment of the Heavy Highway Use Tax, Form 2290.

If this was paid under your own name and Federal ID number last year, you can start looking for the renewal information in your mailbox.

All 2290’s are due July 1, however you have until August 31, to get the payment into the IRS office.  Please keep in mind that if you mail the payment in, it may possibly take the IRS 4-6 weeks to return your stamped receipt to you. Your stamped receipt is needed to renew your base plates for your truck.
