7/7/03 - Driving
without your seat belt buckled now can get you pulled
over in Illinois.
Gov. Rod Blagojevich signed into law on July 3 legislation – SB50 – permitting
police to pullover and ticket drivers for not buckling up. The new law,
which took effect immediately, forbids police to search a vehicle, its contents
or
occupants solely for a seat belt infraction.
