1/22/03-Sen. Dean Johnson (DFL-Willmar) has introduced SF48, calling for the state to borrow $1 billion for roads, raise the fuel tax by 6 cents and ask voters to approve a half-cent sales tax increase. It's reported the bill's purpose is to generate $5.2 billion in 10 years for roads, bridges and transit.
