4/17/03-The governor has
signed HB1322, which doubles fines in posted construction zones where construction
workers are present.
The bill raises the minimum fine from $40 to
$80 for the first 10 mph over the posted speed and raises the fee per
additional mile per hour
over 10 mph from $1 to $2.

construction zones where workers are present and where the posted
speed limit sign
states, "Minimum Fee $80."
The House passed the bill Feb. 13. It has been referred to the Senate
Appropriations Committee.
