1/8/03-A Virginia lawmaker has introduced legislation to create a statewide fuel tax. All revenue generated would be deposited into the state's Transportation Trust Fund.
SB704, presented by Sen. Kevin G. Miller (R-Harrisonburg), would add a tax of 4.5 percent per gallon on the sale of motor fuels.
