4/29/03-A bill that would make lighting up in all indoor places a no-no died in the House.
HB1868 would forbid taking a puff in such places as restaurants, bars, bowling alleys, skating rinks and truckstops.

3/24/03-HB1868 would make lighting up in all indoor public places a no-no.
The list of places it would be forbidden to take a puff includes restaurants, bars, bowling alleys, skating rinks and truckstops.
The bill, introduced by Rep. Joe McDermott, D-Seattle, is in the House Rules Committee.
An identical bill - SB5791 - is in the Senate Health and Long-Term Care Committee. For bill status, call (360) 786-7573.
