4/7/04-Rep. Bob Henriquez, D-Tampa, has proposed an amendment to the House version of the state budget that would allow the state to temporarily cut 10 cents out of the 16-cent gas tax during June and July.
According to the St. Petersburg Times, the revenue lost from the proposed tax cut would reduce the dollars available for road construction.
