4/28/04-House and Senate lawmakers failed to reach agreement before the legislative session ended April 7 on a bill – SB425 – that would exempt interstate highways from a funding formula that divides most state and federal transportation construction funds evenly among Georgia’s 13 congressional districts. The failed agreement effectively killed the bill for the year.
