10/15/04-A bill that would have provided for the repayment of $315 million to the Transportation Trust Fund beginning in 2006 failed passage in the session that ended in April.
HB869 also sought to require the Maryland Department of Transportation to obtain legislative approval for any new toll projects.
It remained in the House Ways and Means & Appropriations Committee at the close of the session.
A similar Senate version – SB508 – however, was signed into law in May.
