6/22/04-A bill that would have required motorists in Missouri to use their headlights during inclement weather has died.
HB921, sponsored by Rep. Regina Walsh, D-St. Louis, was awaiting discussion before the full House when the session ended in May.
The bill required the use of headlights whenever rain, snow, fog or other atmospheric conditions require the use of windshield wipers. It also required headlights to be illuminated during periods of fog when wipers aren’t necessary.
Violators would have been subject to a $10 fine.
