4/13/04-SB874, which would require photos and unmasked faces on all Missouri driver’s licenses, has been added to SB1144.

1/15/04-A bill that would require photos and unmasked faces on all Missouri driver’s licenses has been sent to the Senate Transportation Committee.
The Show-Me State currently issues licenses without photos of drivers who object on religious grounds to having their images displayed.
The bill, sponsored by Sen. Harold Caskey, D-Butler, contains a blanket prohibition against “wearing anything which cloaks the facial features of the individual” when taking a driver’s license photo.
SB874 also removes an exemption that would have allowed members of certain religious groups from avoiding having a photo taken altogether because their religion prohibits photographs.
