7/22/04-A bill that would have authorized state, cities and towns to build high-occupancy vehicle lanes has died.
H1360, sponsored by Rep. Keith Williams, R-Hubert, would have dedicated the lanes for cars with two or more passengers.
An identical Senate bill – S1090 – met the same fate.

6/11/04-The House Committee on Transportation voted June 9 to approve a bill authorizing the state, cities and towns to build high-occupancy vehicle lanes.
H1360, sponsored by Rep. Keith Williams, R-Hubert, would dedicate the lanes for cars with two or more passengers.
