Rhode Island

7/15/04-A new state law, previously H7073, provides that any Rhode Island resident trained and certified by the U.S. Armed Forces to drive any class of commercial motor vehicle would have the CDL road test requirement waived when applying for a CMV license in the state.
It became effective July 3 without Gov. Donald Carcieri’s signature.
