6/8/05-A bill that would have granted Caltrans general authority to use the design-sequencing contracting method for the delivery of transportation projects has died.
Part of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s “Go California” transportation package, AB1266 remained in the Assembly Appropriations Committee at the deadline for bills to advance from the chamber, effectively killing it for the year.
The bill would have eliminated the current pilot program designation as well as the requirements for the establishment of peer review committees and annual reports to the Legislature.
