7/16/05-A bill that would have required the Los Angeles-Long Beach complex to identify sources of emissions and get each source down to the level of emissions produced in 2001 has died.
SB764, sponsored by Sen. Alan Lowenthal, D-Long Beach, remained in the Assembly Transportation Committee at the deadline to advance, effectively killing it for the year. It previously passed the Senate.
The bill would have required the ports to meet the roll back on emissions by 2008.

6/9/05-The Senate has approved a bill that would require the Los Angeles-Long Beach complex to identify sources of emissions and get each source down to the level of emissions produced in 2001.
SB764, sponsored by Sen. Alan Lowenthal, D-Long Beach, would require the ports to meet the roll back on emissions by 2008.
It has been sent to the Assembly for further consideration.

5/9/05-The Senate Appropriations Committee has approved a bill that would require the Los Angeles/Long Beach complex to identify sources of emissions at the port and get each source down to the level of emissions produced in 2001.
SB764, sponsored by Sen. Alan Lowenthal, D-Long Beach, would require the port to meet the goal by 2008.
