4/11/05-A bill that sought to lower large truck speeds from 65 mph to 55 mph on rural interstates has died.
HB6206, offered by Rep. Steve Jarmoc, D-Enfield, remained in the Joint Transportation Committee past the deadline for bills to pass out of the panel.
2/25/05-A bill offered by Rep. Steve Jarmoc, D-Enfield, would limit large trucks to 55 mph on rural interstates.
Currently, tractor-trailers driving those stretches of highway can travel up to 65 mph – the same limit as all other vehicles.
