4/27/05-A bill that would have required that the Greenwich weigh station be open 16 hours a day and that the hours of operation rotate on a regular basis has died.
SB344, offered by Sen. Robert Duff, D-Norwalk, remained in the Joint Transportation Committee past the deadline for bills to pass out of the panel.
2/25/05-A bill offered by Sen. Robert Duff, D-Norwalk, would require that the Greenwich weigh station be open 16 hours a day and that the hours of operation rotate on a regular basis.
SB344 is intended to “protect drivers from trucks that are overweight and dangerous and to reduce maintenance costs on the highway by removing overweight and unsafe trucks,” Duff wrote.
