5/12/05-A bill that would have given tax breaks to companies who purchased hydrogen powered equipment, or showed the use of hydrogen technology, has died.
HB1597, sponsored by Rep. Adam Hasner, R-Delray Beach, remained in a Senate committee at the end of the session that ended May 6. It previously passed the House.
The bill would have added $2.1 million in sales tax incentives and tax credits for adopters of the alternative energy source.
A similar Senate bill – S2074 – met the same fate.
