5/12/05-A bill that would have given tax breaks to companies who purchased hydrogen powered equipment, or showed the use of hydrogen technology, has died.
S2074, sponsored by Sen. Lee Constantine, R-Altamonte Springs, remained in a Senate committee at the end of the session that ended May 6.
The bill would have added $2.1 million in sales tax incentives and tax credits for adopters of the alternative energy source.
A similar House bill – HB1597 – met the same fate.
