5/23/05-A bill that would have required motorists in the state to use their headlights during inclement weather has died.
HB54, sponsored by Rep. C.B. Embry Jr., R-Morgantown, remained in the House Transportation Committee when the session ended, effectively killing it for the year.
The bill called for the use of headlights “when atmospheric conditions require the use of windshield wipers.”
It didn’t specify a fine amount.
