8/15/05-A bill in the Joint Transportation Committee would allow law enforcement to ticket drivers for not shoveling snow and ice off their vehicle.
H1036, sponsored by Rep. Brian Knuuttila, R-Yonkers, would target “any person operating a motor vehicle with an accumulation of snow or ice which constitutes a threat to public safety.”
Fines for violators could be as much as $500, or up to six months in jail.
