8/25/05-A bill in the Joint Committee on Transportation would allow police to ticket drivers who fail to flip on their headlights during bad weather.
Current state law requires all vehicles to be equipped with headlights and to use them in darkness.
H2032, sponsored by Rep. Robert Koczera, D-New Bedford, would require lights to be on “whenever the windshield wipers of such vehicle are in use.”
For House bill status, call (617) 722-2356.
Similar bills also are in the Joint Committee on Transportation.
