5/20/05-A bill that would have increased the number of state troopers out on Mississippi roadways has died.
SB429, sponsored by Sen. Travis Little, R-Corinth, remained in the House Appropriations Committee at the deadline for Senate bills to pass out of a House panel. It previously passed the Senate.
The bill called for appropriating $3 million to equip and train at least 50 new troopers.

1/27/05-The Senate unanimously approved a bill Jan. 26 that would increase the number of state troopers out on Mississippi roadways.
SB2429, sponsored by Sen. Travis Little, R-Corinth, would appropriate $3 million to equip and train at least 50 new troopers.
