6/30/05-AB447, which sought to pay Nevadans back for the money paid last year to register their vehicles, has died.
A similar version – AB572 – however, has been signed into law.
4/20/05-A bill in the Assembly Ways and Means Committee would pay Nevadans back for the money paid last year to register their vehicles.
AB447, sponsored by Assemblywoman Sharron Angle, R-Reno, would use some of the state’s surplus funds to give residents rebates on their vehicle registrations.
The bill would rebate to drivers as much as $300 on each vehicle.
Residents who registered their cars, trucks, motorcycles, trailers and recreational vehicles would be eligible for a refund check. Businesses would also receive the refunds.
Vehicle owners could use the rebates only after registration fees paid in fiscal 2006.

A similar Senate bill – SB366 – is in the Senate Finance Committee.
