4/12/05-A bill awaiting a vote before the Senate would use truck fees to refurbish and eventually replace weigh stations in the state. If approved, it would head to Gov. Brad Henry.
Sponsored by Rep. Fred Perry, R-Tulsa, HB1967 overwhelmingly passed the House in late March. It calls for diverting several million dollars from overweight and oversize permit fees that now go to the state’s general fund to a special weigh station fund.
