6/21/05-A bill is likely dead that would have required the Oregon Transportation Department to give at least 10 days notice before suspending, revoking or canceling a commercial driver’s license.
HB2726, sponsored by Rep. Bill Garrard, R-Klamath Falls, remained in the House Transportation Committee when the committee closed, effectively killing the bill for the year.
The 10 days notice would not have applied when a court or police officer took immediate custody of a license, when driving privileges are suspended, and when the suspension is reinstated.
