6/27/05-A bill that sought to restrict big rigs to the right-most lanes of interstate or multilane divided highways, expect when passing, has died.
SB792, sponsored by Sen. Jamie Hagood, R-Knoxville, remained in the Senate Transportation Committee at the close of the session, effectively killing it for the year.
Violators could have been subject to a $50 fine.
An identical House bill – HB349 – met the same fate.

Under SB792, sponsored by Sen. Jamie Hagood, R-Knoxville, violators could be subject to a $50 fine.
