5/23/05-A bill that would have barred the state from spending money on the planned Trans-Texas Corridor until 2007 has died.
HB3363, sponsored by Rep. Garnet Coleman, D-Houston, remained in the House Transportation Committee at the deadline for bills to pass from the chamber, effectively killing it for the year.
The bill also called for a committee to study the corridor plan and its use of toll and bond financing. It would have placed the same moratorium on tolling free roads.
