12/27/05-The Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Transportation voted Dec. 21 to advance a bill that would eliminate the requirement that a vehicle’s empty weight be displayed.
Under current law, a person is prohibited from operating a motor truck, truck tractor, motor bus, trailer, or semi trailer unless the vehicle’s empty weight is displayed on the side of the vehicle.
AB97, which previously passed the Assembly, has been sent to full Senate for further consideration.
