2/24/05-Gov. Dave Freudenthal signed a bill into law Feb. 22 that prohibits the Wyoming Department of Transportation from issuing or renewing a driver’s license for a person if that person’s doctor or optometrist gives the department a letter “stating the person is not capable of safely operating a motor vehicle.”
A physician can also send a note to the DOT asking them to retest an individual if the doctor has concerns about the person’s ability to drive.
The new law, previously HB59, took effect immediately.
