9/26/06-Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed a bill into law that allows tolls to be charged for an additional 10 years on a new toll road scheduled to open next year in the South Bay.
The new law, previously SB463, gives the private group that is building and will operate the state Route 125 toll road in San Diego a longer revenue stream by allowing toll collections to be extended from 35 years to 45 years.
The 9.3-mile toll route, called the South Bay Expressway, runs from state Route 905 near the border to Route 54 in Spring Valley.
