5/31/06-Gov. Bill Owens has signed a bill into law that requires drivers younger than 18 years old convicted of misdemeanor offenses such as speeding and reckless driving to take a minimum of six hours of driver’s education.
The new law, previously HB1108, takes effect July 1.

Sponsored by Rep. Debbie Benefield, D-Arvada, HB1108 is waiting consideration before the full Senate. It’s already passed the House.
