2/13/06-A bill has died that would have prohibited cities and counties in the state from entering into non-compete agreements with toll road companies.
HB1116, sponsored by Rep. Gwyn Green, D-Golden, was postponed indefinitely in the House Transportation and Energy Committee, effectively killing the bill.
The bill was intended to prevent the state from hampering traffic on free roads in order to divert traffic onto toll roads, commonly referred to as “gridlock by design.”
