4/10/06-A bill is likely dead that would increase fines on some traffic violations to help pay for new State Police cars.
HB4521 remained in the Senate Transportation Committee at the March 24 deadline to advance to the full Senate. The bill, which already passed the House, has been moved to the Senate Rules Committee where it can be retrieved for consideration.
The bill would add a $25 fee to the cost for traffic violators who are arrested.
