SB2575, sponsored by Sen. Antonio Munoz, D-Chicago, remained in the Senate Transportation Committee Feb. 17, the deadline to advance to the full Senate.
The plate would have cost $40 to purchase and $27 for renewal. Twenty-five dollars of that amount would have been used for financial and education aid to children of veterans who died or were disabled while serving.
