OOIDA Call to Action - Indiana members
Oct. 20, 2006
Indiana lawmakers made a very big mistake earlier this year when they voted for the virtual sale of the Indiana Toll Road - they did it despite the overwhelming opposition of the voting public.
Your calls and letters against the leasing of the toll road to foreign investors clearly fell on deaf ears. The lease was voted for by 51 representatives and 31 senators.
Lawmakers serve at the will of the people. If your calls and letters meant so little to them, it's time they find another line of work.
With the November General Election right around the corner, it's the perfect time to ask your lawmakers as you vote them out of office, "Can you hear me now?"
Of those voting for the toll road lease, 46 of the 51 representatives and 12 of the 31 senators are running for re-election this year.
The following is the list of House and Senate members who voted for the Indiana Toll Road lease and are up for re-election.
