4/13/06-Gov. Mitch Daniels has signed a bill that allows courts to take vehicles from some people convicted of drunken driving.
Courts could seize a drunken driver’s vehicle if the person has at least two prior convictions for driving while intoxicated within the previous five years.
The new rule, previously SB145, takes effect July 1.

3/9/06-A bill before Gov. Mitch Daniels would allow courts to take vehicles from some people convicted of drunken driving.
Under SB145, courts would be permitted to seize a drunken driver’s vehicle if the person has at least two prior convictions for driving while intoxicated within the previous five years.
