4/17/06-A bill has died that would have required fees for issuance of driver’s licenses and instruction permits to be reduced by $12.
HB105 remained in the House Transportation Committee when the session ended, effectively killing it for the year.
The bill would have established fees for issuance of commercial driver’s licenses, instruction permits and endorsements; require $3.50 for issuance of licenses to be deposited in the general fund; establish that the commercial driver’s license expire in the birth month of the license holder; require the state’s transportation cabinet to publicize a fee schedule for commercial driver’s licenses and endorsements issuance for less than four years.
