5/30/06-Gov. Jennifer Granholm has signed legislation green lighting the state to use $80 million in bonding from the state trunkline fund to provide grants to county and municipal governments to match $320 million in federal transportation funding.
HB6003 would create a program within the State Trunk Line Fund to provide grants to municipalities and other local road agencies to match federal aid projects.
The bill is tie-barred with two other bills – SB1132 and SB1192 – that also have been signed into law.
