1/3/07-A bill has died that sought to define the requirements of an event data recorder, or "black box," by an insurer or the use of event data recorder data to determine insurance premiums to be an unfair and deceptive business practice.
Sponsored by Sen. Tony Stamas, R-Midland, SB903 remained in the Senate Transportation Committee when the session ended, effectively killing it for the year.
