OOIDA Information Update –Missouri members

Attention: Missouri IRP-plated members. The Missouri Department of Transportation has contacted OOIDA to help reach out and inform you of a serious backlog in processing renewals for 2007. The following message from MoDOT is intended to help you avoid unnecessary delay and frustration with your renewals.

Does your registration expire Dec. 31, 2006? MoDOT Motor Carrier Services is waiting for 1,500 carriers to send their renewal application and supporting documents. They’re concerned because the New Year’s holiday falls on a weekend. Renewals need to be completed by Friday, Dec. 29.

If you haven’t completed the renewal process, please do so quickly so you receive your credentials before your registration expires. Please keep in mind that the longer you wait, the longer the process takes. Wait times for walk-in customers regularly exceeded five hours last year.

The fastest method of renewal is the MoDOT Carrier Express system. Log onto the Internet and visit MoDOT’s Web site: http://www.modot.org/mcs/IRP.htm. You’ll find instructions on using the MoDOT Carrier express to complete your renewal. If you’ve forgotten your unique ID and password, please send an e-mail to contact MCS@modot.mo.gov for assistance. You may also mail a completed application to:
