5/12/06-A bill, HB1040, intended to help keep construction workers safe has died.
A similar bill – SB872 – however, has been sent to Gov. Matt Blunt’s desk.

1/31/06-A bill in the Transportation Committee is intended to help keep construction workers safe.
Under HB1040, sponsored by Rep. Ed Robb, R-Columbia, anyone found speeding or passing illegally in a work zone when workers are present would face a $1,000 fine. Existing state law fines violators $250.

12/6/05-Rep. Ed Robb, R-Columbia, has prefiled a bill intended to help keep construction workers safe.

HB1040 has yet to be assigned to a committee. It will be considered in the legislative session that begins Jan. 5.
