3/21/06-A bill that sought to make the state’s roadways safer near weigh stations has died.
HB2743, sponsored by Rep. Ryan Kiesel, D-Seminole, failed to be taken up for a vote on the House floor March 16, the deadline for consideration before the chamber.
The bill would have allowed truck drivers in Oklahoma to bypass congested weigh stations on interstates.
2/28/06-The House Transportation Committee unanimously approved a bill Feb. 23 intended to make the state’s roadways safer near weigh stations.
HB2743, sponsored by Ryan Kiesel, D-Seminole, would allow truck drivers to bypass congested weigh stations on interstates throughout the state.
The bill has been forwarded to the full House for further consideration.
