11/30/06-A bill that would have entitled a taxpayer who voluntarily retrofits a diesel engine to a tax credit has died.
Sponsored by Rep. Will Gabig, R-Carlisle, HB2620 remained in the House Finance Committee when the session ended, effectively killing it for the year.
The bill was intended to encourage owners of pre-2007 diesel trucks to retrofit their vehicles with the new technology by granting a 75 percent tax credit toward the retrofitting with the new catalytic converter.
