5/26/06-A bill has died that called for a detailed policy intended to eliminate politics from the process of the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Sponsored by Sen. Mae Beavers, R-Mt. Juliet, SB3161 include a provision to curb outside recommendations.
A companion bill – HB3073 – also died.
