OOIDA Information Update - Virginia Members

Virginia truckers! Members of the public have a chance to tell state officials what they want to see happen to roads, bridges, rail and transit.
The Commonwealth Transportation Board has scheduled nine public hearings around the state this fall. Information will be presented on projects needing more funding for completion, as well as other possible projects.

During the comment period, individuals will be allowed to speak for three minutes each. Individuals can also send their comments via e-mail or regular mail to the Virginia Department of Transportation and the Department of Rail and Public Transportation:

The board will take public comments into consideration prior to adopting Virginia's 2008-2013 transportation improvement program. Officials will hold a final public hearing on the six-year draft plan in the spring.
