10/12/06-Gov. Tim Kaine signed a bill into law Oct. 10 to make the Commonwealth Transportation Board responsible for promoting increasing private investment in Virginia’s transportation infrastructure, including but not limited to acquisition of causeways, bridges, tunnels, highways, and other transportation facilities.
Sponsored by House Transportation Committee Chairman Leo Wardrup, R-Virginia Beach, HB5064 takes effect Jan. 1, 2007.

9/27/06-The House Transportation Committee unanimously approved a bill Tuesday, Sept. 26, that would make the Commonwealth Transportation Board responsible for promoting increasing private investment in Virginia’s transportation infrastructure, including but not limited to acquisition of causeways, bridges, tunnels, highways, and other transportation facilities.
