9/28/06-The House Finance Committee voted 17-5 Sept. 26 to kill a bill that would have allowed for a mix of tolls and fees to pay for Hampton Roads bridges and tunnels.
Sponsored by Delegate Chris Jones, R-Suffolk, HB5072 included a $25 per axle fee for trucks and a $20 fee for trailers.

9/20/06-A bill expected to draw consideration during the four-day special session on transportation that starts Wednesday, Sept. 27, would allow for a mix of tolls and fees to pay for the region’s road-building needs.
