10/3/06-A bill that would have required the Virginia State Police to add 10 additional troopers to patrol Interstate 81 has died. Another 20 would have patrolled Interstates 64 and 95.
Sponsored by Delegate Ben Cline, R-Amherst, HB5074 remained in the House Appropriations Committee at the deadline to advance from the chamber to the Senate.

9/22/06-A bill expected to draw consideration during the four-day special session on transportation that starts Wednesday, Sept. 27, would require the Virginia State Police to add 10 additional troopers to patrol Interstate 81. Another 20 would patrol Interstates 64 and 95.
